Description
This cabinet arrived at Upcycle Arcade rather badly painted with chalk paint which had to be totally removed prior to being brought up to date with a fresh, countryside makeover.
The solid oak top has been stripped and waxed, now gleams with health. The recessed door and side panels have had touches of gold added for a little glamour … but not too much!
The front and door have been adorned with dog roses in a graduated dark to pale pinks with white outer petals. The stamens are depicted in yellow.
The handle, rescued from an earlier upcycled piece, has been finished in the same golden gilding wax as the cabinet edges whilst the interior cupboard has been refreshed in a pale grey.
The cabinet went from dark and dreary to clunky upcycled (but seriously, well done for trying!) before it was professionally upcycled. But now you can guarantee you will be the only one on the planet with one like it. Talking of planets, upcycling is one way to live a sustainable eco-friendly life. What’s not to love?
