The wood grain on this vintage sewing table has been brought out from years of cracked varnish and now glows with health and flowers.

The outside has been gently brought back to life and lily of the valley, pale poppies and cornflowers now adorn each side. The drawer handles are originals and are a deep green *bakelite??*. The showstopping hinged top features glorious burr walnut veneer which I had no idea was lurking behind the old varnish. Quite a find for an upcycler. The interior also features flowers on a pale green background whilst the base of the box and drawer have been lined and finished with braid.

It measures 63 cm high, 45.5 cm wide and 35.5 cm deep.

It is pretty, gentle and tactile as well as being very practical. It would make for a very thoughtful, unusual, eco-friendly and utterly one-off gift.
