This heavily carved Jacobean style sideboard dresser dating from (probably) the 1930s has been brought out from under it’s dark varnish sombre cloak and is now ready for a new home.

I have used a layering technique of multiple paint colours to lift the large, drab piece and showcase the wonderful carving, lightening and brightening it to now enhance a lounge or hallway. A real statement piece of upcycled furniture. I have researched this sideboard and I have not found an identical one anywhere out there.

The interior has been refreshed in Sacred Sage with a gentle ornithological paper lining the drawers and door insides. And the top has been stripped, sanded, waxed, and buffed to reveal its oak glory.

This all renders this sideboard unique – you will not find another.

It is practical, stylish and definitely a statement piece of furniture.

The sideboard measures 152 cm wide, 96 cm high (115 cm including upstand) 50 cm deep.
